About the Author
About the book:
This book is a journey into the concept of Temporality and Temporal Space that is triggered by the Bengali Cultural phenomenon of Durga Pujo in Kolkata. This Temporal space is a mental construct that manifests at a particular locality (SPACE) during a sacred period of TIME and is nurtured by the BENGALI CULTURE.
The generated Temporal space is an example of a truly public place, one that is social and helps generate meanings in life. This temporality, is also a major factor of Kolkata's unique cityness.
